SRILANKA HEAPS PRAISE TO MODI GOVERNMENT AGAIN
Cash-trapped Srilanka has once again praised 'friend' India for its support. Srilankan Energy minister Kanchana Wijesekere said that only India has provided credit to tackle the fuel and food shortage. Since the crisis began, India had provided Sri Lanka with a $3.8 billion credit line.
Srilanka on Saturday announced a 'National fuel ration' scheme amid the fuel shortage. This means a guaranteed all locations of fuel quota on a weekly basis will be distributed. Amid unpredictable crisis, acting president Wickremesinghe has announced a slew of measures.
