 INDIA AUSTRALIA TRADE DEAL; OUTSIDE QUAD

  • India Australia tariff agreement to be sealed 
  • Tariff removes on 85% of Australian goods entering India 
  • 96% of Indian goods to Australia are to be duty-free

India and Australia are set to sign an Interim-Tariff  Deal; Easing trade between the two countries once signed, the deal will eliminate tariffs of 85% of Australian goods, For India, 96% of its export to Australia will be duty-free

Australia-India economic trade agreement will be signed in a virtual ceremony. Australian trade minister  Dan Tehan and Union Minister Piyush Goyal will sign the deal Australian PM Morrison and Indian PM Modi will witness the signing of the interim agreement. This deal is a precursor to a comprehensive free trade agreement that is being pushed by both countries 

Here is a low-down on what exactly is likely to get cheaper once the deal is signed: Australia will No-impose tariffs on sheep meat, wool, copper, coal, Alumina, and certain minerals. The tariff will be reduced on Australian wines From 150% to 50% over 10 years . Australian Avacado , Beans, Nuts, and Berries will invite No tariff for seven Years
